CULTURE & BUSINESS PRIDE. TOWARDS A MORE SUSTAINABLE SOCIETY

Culture & Business Pride continues to evolve as a project, committed to the principles of diversity, sustainability and continuous improvement, in alignment with the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This global plan drives action for people, planet and prosperity, addressing key challenges in sectors such as the economy, education, culture, social welfare and the environment. Our commitment is to exceed these goals and generate a positive impact that reflects social responsibility and sustainable development in each of our activities.

Social and environmental sustainability

At Culture & Business Pride, we implement responsible scheduling and logistics, committed to environmental sustainability through practices that span our entire supply chain. Our goal is to continuously improve energy efficiency, minimize the use of harmful materials and set conscious consumption goals that promote a positive impact on the environment.

Each year, we increase our investment in innovative and inclusive services that integrate advanced technological solutions to make our operations more resilient. This allows us to create a collaborative approach between practical solutions, shared experiences and support for sustainable public policies, driving meaningful change.

Our commitment to the cities where the event takes place is clear: we want to contribute to making them inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable places. We promote diversity as a driver of social transformation, fighting against any form of inequality until it is eradicated as a cause for concern.

Through our accessible activities, we encourage citizens to become actively aware of their environment and participate in building a more sustainable future. We want to inspire everyone to collaborate with policies that improve the quality of life and generate a positive and lasting impact.

This approach is aligned with our mission to leave a significant footprint on society and the planet, moving towards a more just and equitable development model.

Sustainable Measures

Culture & Business Pride wants to commit to sustainability, circular economy, regeneration, net positive impact and respect for the earth and life. We will focus in particular on six categories of green practices:

Movilidad
Energía
Compras
Infraestructuras
Residuos

Sustainable Mobility

In our commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions derived from the mobility of attendees, we actively promote:

The use of public transportation: we will provide detailed information on schedules and locations of cabs and buses to facilitate access to the event in a sustainable manner.

Private ridesharing: the goal is to decrease our carbon footprint, emissions and road congestion, as well as traffic-related noise generation.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Stay tuned to our social networks, we will provide you with all the information about TITSA lines and schedules, as well as cab number and location.

Organize with your friends or family to carpool, saving on gas costs and helping to reduce the environmental impact of the event!

Energy Consumption

As part of our commitment to sustainability and energy responsibility, we have set specific goals to reduce our carbon footprint and optimize our energy consumption.

To this end, we have set two clear objectives:

Minimize our use of generators, always favoring renewable energy sources whenever possible.

Select energy efficient equipment and installations, prioritizing technologies that reduce energy consumption and maximize performance.

To achieve these objectives, we have implemented various measures, including the use of high-efficiency equipment in all our activities and areas of operation, as well as taking advantage of the existing energy infrastructure at the site, which allows us to minimize the need for additional resources.

Sustainable Procurement

In our quest to reduce waste generation and promote sustainable purchasing practices, we have established several clear objectives:

Prioritize the purchase of reusable products, made from recycled materials whenever possible: this includes merchandising products, food packaging, hygiene products and more.

Minimize the generation of non-recyclable waste, such as food waste, cups and packaging.

Reduce the use of paper in our activities and communications, prioritizing digital technologies and screens for information. We will use recycled and chlorine-free paper when necessary.

Select local suppliers, not only to reduce GHG emissions associated with transportation, but also to support businesses in our community.

To measure our progress, we will be monitoring the number of reusable cups and tableware items, as well as the percentage of products and services selected according to environmental and local criteria compared to total purchases made.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Before leaving the event we invite you to return your glass. You can also take plastic or paper cups with a maximum capacity of 500 ml from home. You will be able to find free hydration points in dispensers.

Efficient Infrastructures

In our commitment to reduce the environmental impact of our infrastructures, we have established several clear objectives:

Prioritize the use of reusable temporary infrastructures to reduce the consumption of materials and resources, avoiding single-use items.

Establish environmental criteria for generators, using sustainable and efficient equipment with low GHG emissions to minimize our carbon footprint.

Establish environmental criteria in furniture and decoration, minimizing the use of single-use materials and prioritizing elements made of sustainable or reusable materials.

To evaluate our progress, we closely monitor the amount of reusable temporary infrastructure installed, the proportion of energy from efficient equipment or renewable sources that meet environmental criteria.

In addition to these environmental commitments, we want our events to be inclusive, accessible and open to all. Therefore, we will strive to facilitate accessibility with areas specially designed for people with reduced mobility, and we will ensure that the entire space is free of prejudice and discrimination of any kind.

Waste Management

Efficient and responsible waste management is a fundamental element of our Sustainability Plan for the festival. Therefore, we will focus on the following objectives:

Design a comprehensive waste management system from initial minimization to selective collection and subsequent recycling.

Promote selective waste collection, maximizing the amount of recyclable materials collected and minimizing the generation of non-recyclable waste.

Ensure the correct treatment of waste, carrying out a detailed follow-up of its management to favor its recycling and obtain data for its subsequent evaluation.

All collaborators and teams working at the event will be informed about the correct waste management practices.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Learn about proper waste separation practices if you don’t already know them and recycle consciously, both inside and outside the gates. Try to minimize the generation of unnecessary waste.

Culture & Business Pride is committed to prioritizing sustainability and reducing its environmental impact during all phases of the event. A strategic alliance is established with the specialized entity Eslôgica to guide our actions and ensure the implementation of the Environmental Management Plan. We are based on the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations and adapt our approach to the Canary Islands Agenda for Sustainable Development 2030 ACDS.
