
Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir
Former Prime Minister of Iceland. She was appointed Minister of Social Affairs and Social Security in 2007, a position she had previously held from 1987 to 1994, under the name of Minister of Social Affairs.
A member of the Social Democratic Alliance, she has been a member of the Icelandic Parliament continuously since 1978. She was the first woman to assume the office of Prime Minister of Iceland, and, in addition. She was the first head of government recognized as LGBT in the world.
